How to use MoneyMate

Getting started

Add expenses and income

From the Home screen, tap the add button and choose Expense or Income. Enter the amount, choose a category and account, add a note if you like, then save. Use the Categories tab to add preset categories or create your own.

Set budgets and savings goals

Set a monthly budget to see how much you have left and receive alerts as you near your limit. Create savings goals (for example a trip or laptop), then add money toward them and track progress. Use Debt Management to record what you owe.

Automate recurring payments

Open Recurring Transactions and add a schedule for bills, subscriptions or income. MoneyMate notifies you the day before and on the day. Tap Confirm & Pay to record it or Skip to ignore that occurrence.

Use Impulse Control and the Waiting List

1. Open the Control tab.
2. Tap Start 48-hour pause to freeze impulse spending while you reflect.
3. Add tempting purchases to the Waiting List.
4. After the pause, mark each item Bought or Avoided. Avoided items add up to “Money you didn't spend”.

Read insights and export data

Open Insights & Reports for category breakdowns, a 6-month trend and a comparison with last month. Check your Financial Health score on the Net Worth screen. To back up or share records, use Export and choose CSV or PDF.

Sync, backup and guest mode

Guest data lives only on your device and is lost if you uninstall. Sign in to back up to the cloud and use MoneyMate on multiple devices. When you sign in, you can merge your existing guest data into your account.
