Privacy Policy
How MoneyMate handles your information.
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MoneyMate: Expense Tracker (the “App”) and this website handle information. In short: you can use the App as a guest with no account, your financial entries stay on your device unless you sign in, and we do not sell your personal or financial data.
1. Who we are
MoneyMate is developed and operated by Dis Cam Fun Foto Sticker and is available worldwide. For privacy questions, email KCOApps@gmail.com.
2. Information we handle
| Category | Details | When |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, optional phone number; if you use “Sign in with Google”, the basic profile details Google shares (such as name and email) | Only if you create an account |
| Financial data you enter | Transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, savings goals, debts, recurring schedules, waiting-list items and notes | Always stored on your device; uploaded only if you are signed in |
| Preferences | Currency, financial-year setting, notification settings | Always |
| Diagnostics & usage | Crash reports and usage events collected by Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics): for example device model, OS version, app version, app-instance identifier and approximate location derived from IP address | While using the App |
| Advertising data | Advertising ID, IP address and device information processed by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads | While using the App |
We do not ask for bank logins or card numbers, and the App does not read your SMS messages, contacts or precise location.
3. How we use information
- To provide App features, including budgets, insights, reminders, export, and backup and sync when you are signed in
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To diagnose crashes and understand which features are used so we can improve the App
- To show ads that keep the App free
- To respond to support requests and meet legal obligations
Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): performing our contract with you (account and sync features), our legitimate interests (security, crash diagnostics, improving the App), your consent (where required, for example for personalised ads or optional permissions such as notifications), and legal obligations.
4. Service providers
We use these processors, which handle data under their own terms:
- Appwrite (cloud authentication and database; used only when you sign in): privacy policy
- Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) and Google AdMob: Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information
- Google Sign-In (optional): only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
5. Advertising
The App is free and shows ads (banner, native, interstitial and app-open formats) served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your Advertising ID and device data to show and measure ads, and may personalise them where permitted. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads). If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the App asks for your ads consent choice on first launch through Google’s consent form, and you can review or change it at any time in Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. Ads are not requested until that choice has been made.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal or financial data. We share information only with the service providers above, where required by law or to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your consent (for example when you export and share a CSV or PDF file yourself).
7. Security
Data in transit to our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Account passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text. On-device data is protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password.
8. Retention & deletion
- Guest data stays on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall.
- Account data is kept while your account exists.
- Delete your account in the App (Settings → Delete Account), which removes your account and the data synced to our cloud. You can also follow the steps on our account and data deletion page.
- Crash and analytics data held by Google is retained under Google’s policies.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, California and other U.S. states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Most of this you can do in the App (edit profile, export CSV/PDF, delete account). For anything else, email KCOApps@gmail.com; we will respond within the time required by law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we do not sell personal information.
Other choices: use the App as a guest without an account; disable notifications in Android settings; reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings.
10. Children
MoneyMate is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and Singapore. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.
12. This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics at the time of writing. If we add them, we will update this policy and request consent where required. Links to third-party sites (such as Google Play) are governed by those sites’ policies.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version; for material changes we will provide additional notice, for example in the App.
14. Contact
Email KCOApps@gmail.com or use our contact page. See also our Terms & Conditions.
